How DMS got its name

DMS stands for Drone Made Studios, my first business filming short commercials and surveying land with a drone. The idea for DMS Graphics came while I was on a job site. I thought, why not use the drone to capture the space and gather the details needed to recreate it in 3D? With my HVAC background and knowledge of the building, I could match the ductwork, hallways, and doors to the actual space. That became my first 3D building model.

After doing this a few more times, I realized it was something I wanted to keep pursuing. I started DMS Graphics as a side business, bringing together my controls experience and interest in 3D modeling. It eventually became my full-time work and took off from there. Along the way, I discovered ways to create models without being on site. The business has grown beyond those first drone projects, but I kept DMS as a nod to the drone that helped start it all.
